So, so sorry for your loss. My mom passed away after a long cancer battle 25 years ago, and I miss her to this day. My dad passed in 2020, but oddly, his passing did not affect me like Mom’s did. Still does.

I think a mother-child bond is much deeper, at least it is for me. And losing a mom before you’re 40, like I did, meant that so many questions never got asked.

You will eventually grow used to living without this limb. I hope you find another woman who you can develop a deeper bond with. Women need those bonds.
